North Douglas Elem/Middle School

Earns High State Report Card Score

Based on the Oregon Department of Educations academic and behavior scales, the ND Elem/Middle School earned a rating of Outstanding for the 2008-09 school year.  Under the Federal Adequate Yearly Progress rating, the school has met standards.

Adequate Yearly Progress
The No Child Left Behind Act requires the annual determination of whether schools, districts, and states have made adequate yearly progress (AYP) toward the goal of having all students meet rigorous state academic standards by the 2013-2014 school year. Each year, the performance of all students in the school and district, as well as subgroups of students, is measured against annual performance targets. States must identify for improvement any school or district receiving Title I funds that does not meet adequate yearly progress for two consecutive years in the same content area.

NDE/MS Federal Adequate Yearly Progress Rating: MET

School and District Report Cards
The Oregon Department of Education produces yearly report cards for schools and districts. These reports were mandated by the 1999 state legislature and provide educators with an opportunity to communicate directly with parents and community members about how local schools are performing.
